Now that the theatres have reopened and will run with full capacity following the COVID-19 guidelines, tons of filmmakers have announced the release date of their upcoming films. Ranveer Singh's '83, Akshay Kumar's Sooryavanshi, Alia Bhatt's Gangubai Kathiawadi, Kartik Aaryan's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and many more films acquired the release dates. Amidst this, Kangana Ranaut yesterday announced that her film Thalaivi will release on April 23, 2021.
Taking to her Twitter handle, Kangana Ranaut revealed the release date of her film which chronicles the journey of J Jayalalitha, former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. She wrote, "To Jaya Amma, on her birthanniversary Witness the story of the legend, #Thalaivi, in cinemas on 23rd April, 2021." Which means that we will see a big clash at the box office. The makers of Bunty Aur Babli 2 have also locked April 23 as their release date.
Bunty Aur Babli that features Rani Mukerji, Saif Ali Khan, Siddhanth Chaturvedi and Sharvari Wagh is a film produced by YRF Studios. The production house recently released a slate of its films and release date which revealed that Bunty Aur Babli 2 will make it to the theatres on April 23. It is a sequel to 2005 release crime comedy Bunty Aur Babli that had Rani Mukerji and Abhishek Bachchan playing the lead roles. It was a massive hit at the box office. We'll wait and see which film will mark a victory at the box office on April 23.
